Instagram Audio Downloader
Paste a link to any public Instagram Reel or video and GetInsta will resolve the actual video, then genuinely encode its audio track to MP3 on the server — never a video file renamed to .mp3.
Go to the downloaderHow it works
- Copy the link to a public Reel or video post.
- Paste it into GetInsta with "Audio" selected.
- Press Download — GetInsta resolves the video, then encodes its audio track to MP3.
- Save the resulting MP3 file.
MP3 requires a real encode — there's no way to losslessly copy AAC audio (what Instagram's video uses) directly into an MP3 file, since MP3 is a specific codec, not just a container. GetInsta encodes at a high-quality ~190kbps VBR setting; only the audio is touched, the video stream is dropped before it's ever decoded.
Extraction requires ffmpeg to be installed on the server this instance runs on. If it isn't, Audio mode reports that plainly instead of pretending to produce a file.
Photo posts and profile pictures have no audio track — Audio mode will honestly report that rather than fabricating one.
Frequently asked questions
Is this just the video file renamed to .mp3?
No. The server runs a real ffmpeg encode (libmp3lame) that decodes only the audio track and writes genuine MP3 frames — nothing is renamed.
What if the Reel has no audio, or uses licensed music Instagram doesn't expose the same way?
GetInsta reports "No downloadable audio track was found for this media" rather than guessing or returning an empty/silent file.
