This page describes exactly what GetInsta can and can't do today — no more, no less. We'd rather tell you a limitation up front than have a download quietly fail.
Video (feed posts)
SupportedPublic feed videos download in the highest quality Instagram makes available.
Reels
SupportedSame underlying support as Video — including audio when the Reel has it.
Photo
Partially supportedA single photo post downloads reliably at its original resolution. For a carousel (multiple photos/videos in one post), GetInsta currently returns the first item only — it does not yet download every item in a carousel.
Profile picture (DP)
SupportedDownloads a public account's current profile picture.
Audio
SupportedExtracts the audio track from a public video or Reel as a standalone file. If the source has no audio at all, GetInsta says so rather than producing a silent file.
Stories
Not supportedNot supported, and not planned unless Instagram changes how Stories work. Instagram never serves Story content through any public, logged-out page — viewing one always requires an active Instagram session, even for fully public accounts. Since GetInsta never asks for your Instagram login, there is no honest way to offer this.
