Reels links (instagram.com/reel/…) use a different URL pattern from regular posts. GetInsta recognises the Reel, finds the video file Instagram serves for it, and streams it straight to your device. You never need to sign in.

What you get
The file you receive is the same video Instagram's own player uses for that Reel. GetInsta does not upscale it, add a watermark, or re-compress it, so the resolution you see on the result card is the resolution Instagram actually provided.
Reels are usually short vertical videos, so the files are small and a download normally finishes within seconds on an ordinary connection.
Reels that can't be downloaded
A Reel can only be fetched if Instagram shows it to a visitor who is not logged in. Reels from private accounts, Reels restricted by age or region, and Reels that have been deleted will not work, and GetInsta will say so rather than return something else.
Instagram also changes how it serves content from time to time. If a link that should work fails, re-copy it from the Reel itself and try again a little later.
Saving only the sound
If you only want the audio, select "Audio" and paste the same Reel link. GetInsta extracts the soundtrack and delivers it as an MP3. See the Audio Downloader page for how that works and when a Reel has no audio to extract.
Only Reels that don't require an active Instagram login to view can be resolved. This matches exactly what a logged-out visitor following the link would see.

Can I download the audio track separately?
Yes. Select "Audio" instead of "Reels" and paste the same link. GetInsta extracts the audio and encodes it to MP3 rather than just renaming the video file.
Is there a length or size limit?
GetInsta enforces a maximum file size to keep the service fast and fair for everyone. Most Reels are well under that limit.
Does GetInsta notify the Reel's creator?
No. GetInsta reads the same public page any logged-out visitor can open, and it has no Instagram account that could leave a trace on the post.
Responsible use
